Innovare Establishes China Presence in Shanghai 1st July 2009

Innovare has extended its footprint to provide services in China.

With this move, Innovare has acquired a coveted HR Human Resource Management and Deployment license, which enables it to render its services compliantly in China. Innovare will bring across its service standards, which it is renowned for globally, into its service delivery in the rapidly expanding market.

"Our new presence in Shanghai provides Innovare a strategic position within China’s contract labour market," said Harry Loh, director for Innovare. "Outsourcing the management of their temporary labour and recruiters enables our clients to focus on their core competencies."

Innovare will offer contractor workforce management and HR consulting services, as well as recruitment process outsourcing to those companies wishing to enter the Chinese market as well as those already established there.

The contract workforce and talent management market in China is relatively small but is growing rapidly. Companies using recruiters or contract / temporary workers in China face deep regulation, and effectively, government control. Missteps can results in heavy fines. Innovare offloads the risk for its clients as it ensures they meet all China labour laws and regulations.

Innovare acquires a Japanese Temporary Labour Contractor 1st February 2009

Innovare has acquired Japan-based Strata Works KK, strengthening its position in one of the world’s largest temporary workforce market. Temporary employees and part-time workers make up more than 10 percent of the Japanese workforce.

"Strata Works KK provides a strategic position for Innovare within Japan’s contract labour market, which is closely regulated by Japanese labour law," said Harry Loh, director for Innovare. "Their in-depth expertise enables us to more effectively serve our customers in Japan as well as the global market."

Strata Works KK was founded in 1995 as a business process and consulting company and licensed as a dispatch company in Japan. Japanese Workers Dispatch Law is designed to protect temporary workers, who enter into an employment contract with temporary staff firm and who work for and under the directions of another company. Dispatch law strives to provide temporary staff with stability, requiring strict observance by both the provider and recipient of the temporary worker. The legislation also prohibits temporary workers in the harbour transport, construction, security services and medical treatment industries.

Innovare’s purchase of Strata Works KK provides the company with the expertise in meeting the Dispatch Law requirements as well as the necessary licenses to operate in Japan. In addition, companies providing contingent labour in Japan face the challenges of language and cultural barriers, particularly if they are Western-based companies. Strata Works extends Innovare’s reach and access to clients in the world’s second-largest economy.
